A beautiful Valley north west of Uttaranchal is known for its remote villages and wonderful mixed forests.
The route from Mussoorie goes via Kempty falls down to river Yamuna and meanders along its banks till Naugaon where one crosses Yamuna and enters a beautiful pine forest, one of the best in Asia. The road reaches river Tons and one follows it to reach a small hamlet of Shankri.
River Tons has another tributary Rupin which comes from Himachal. Both Rupin and Supin meet at a village known as Netwar and from here onwards the river is known as Tons which finally meets river Yamuna at Kalsi and contributes the main volume of water to it.
The trek is along its tributary Supin till Har-Ki-doon (11,500 ft), A wide valley at the base of Swargarohini peak of Mahabharata fame.
